PILLOW TALK
You don't need to go on vacation to have a plush, beautiful, inviting bed to look forward to crawling into each night. In fact, it's easily attainable and you'll impress even your most discerning guests (the in-laws that look in on your master bedroom). Pillows are important. Bedding is also important, but it doesn't need to be expensive.
Look for something in soft whites if you're a big fan of the 'spa feel' that hotels always emanate with such ease. Darker colours are easier to keep clean (duh) and will help you achieve a moody ambiance and amp up the drama. Best way to coordinate a room is by starting small; what's its primary purpose? Who inhabits it most?
From there, choose paint and furnishings that mesh with those answers. Choosing a white linen duvet might seem like a luxe new addition, but if kids or pets are present, you might regret the choice sooner that you'd prefer to admit.
